Long, narrow, and painterly, this No Fishing Sign is dominated by a horizontal application of thick, bright orange paint. A bold “NO FISHING” is cut in half by the top edge of the cardboard and then obscured by warm, off white paint. “NO FISHING” then appears once more—written meekly in thin, black marker—atop the glossy, orange paint running through the center of this painting.
