Multiple contour studies of the model, Megan, are layered within this work. Each drawing has been rubbed into the ground, creating space for the next. Still visible are seated and reclining poses as well as fragments of several other gestures. On the final surface layer, Megan is depicted contorting her hands into a pair of pantomime spectacles.
